They Call 'Em Scots for a Reason

To mark the end of my mom's trip to Scotland, here's an introduction to two Glaswegian gems: The X1 (not to be confused with Dublin's Bell X1) and The Fratellis, a band of brothers.

After a spending Sunday morning with the papers and some tea, the notable links for today:

Morrisey, who will be touring Ireland and the United Kingdom next month, sits down with The Observer. You can hear his entire new album, Ringleader of the Tormentors, on March 21st.

According to the Sunday Times (of London), the U.S. secretary of state, a Beatles' fan since her childhood in Alabama, will be visiting Blackburn and Liverpool later this month. God save the United Kingdom.

Dublin is no longer a city full of blue-eyed/ginger haired folk. The New York Times article is just in time for my birthday/Easter rendezvous.

The Times spends a Saturday night at the Lower East Side's The Annex. It's predicted that the "overhyped" Arctic Monkeys may swing by after the Webster Hall show on Saturday. The young ones probably had enough tequilla and Bud when they attended the SNL after party in the Meatpacking District last weekend.
